I’m very excited to be offering hair & makeup makeover options to my clients. As I move into the contemporary glamour category for portrait photography I’m finding it absolutely rewarding to give women an excuse to pamper themselves. Who doesn’t love to be treated to ultimate beauty and have a beautiful souvenir to preserve herself for all time?

When I was putting together pictures for my Mother’s Day promotion this year I realized I didn’t have a single picture of my mother by herself. Much like many people these days my mother raised my brother and I as a single parent. As the mother of 3 now I have NO idea how she did it, especially since my brother constantly pushed the boundaries of living in a small Western Maine town. My mom spent countless hours driving us to field hockey, skiing, soccer, baseball, basketball, and all the friends houses in between not to mention offering us love and support and helping us with our homework. She selflessly put her passion for art aside to raise her children. I didn’t and still don’t know how to repay her. But I had the best experience spending time with my own mother for almost an entire day making sure she felt pampered and beautiful. My results make me feel so happy. Taking a photograph and making a person feel beautiful is about that person, and having a portrait made is about preserving that person’s legacy for all of those who follow. I’m thrilled I achieved both.
